LAX-A-DAISY Draw

May 9, 2026, at Lancaster Park

Lax-A-Daisy is an annual competitive tournament (exhibition for 8U and scrimmage for 6U) hosted by SMGLL for youth girls’ teams of Southern Maryland. The tournament will begin around 8 AM and run until approximately 8 PM. A schedule will be published closer to the date. 8U and 12U will play in the morning, while 10U and 14U will play in afternoon. In addition, there will be 6U scrimmages mid-day. A DJ, food trucks, a SWAG vendor, and tent decorating contest make the event even more fun. Trophies and ribbons are awarded to the 10U, 12U, and 14U winning and second-place teams. A score is not kept in the 8U division games, and participation ribbons are given at 8U and 6U. Teams are guaranteed four games, and an approved league scoring rubric is used to determine tie-breakers.

 

Registration Information:

Registration is open and ends on Wednesday, April 22, 2026. No late registrations will be accepted. Coaches register teams online. The tournament is free to SMGLL teams and all 6U teams. The registration fee for other teams is $250 per team; this can be paid online with registration or by check to SMGLL.

The design is kept secret until the day of the event, which is always exciting for players! A team may seek sponsorship for T-shirts; please see the Sponsorship Form for instructions. We recommend ordering shirts in advance; these will be given to coaches at tournament check-in. Limited quantities will be available for sale at the tournament. Volunteers Needed:

Parents and high school students are needed during the tournament to help manage fields, keep time, manage the scoreboard, sell t-shirts, etc. High School students will receive a letter documenting their volunteer hours. We love when our former SMGLL players come back to help!
