SMGLL Policies and Special Programs
Credits:
If you have a credit in the system from a previous season or clinic, it should automatically be applied to your next SMGLL registration. Please contact us if it is not automatically applied.
Refunds:
SMGLL typically does not give refunds, however, they will be considered on a case-by-case basis. Extenuating circumstances such as major injury or illness prior to the start of a clinic or season will be considered for a refund.
Discounts:
- $10 early bird discount (ends 12/31).
- Coach discount ($40)
- Sibling discount $10 for 2nd & 3rd siblings.
Team Placement (Spring Rec Season):
- Teams are created by the SMGLL Board based on information provided during the registration process and past SMGLL seasons for returning players.
- Please note that when creating teams, SMGLL prioritizes an even distribution of talent and experience in order to achieve our mission "to encourage and promote the sport of girls' lacrosse for the benefit of emotional maturity and athletic development."
- SMGLL athletes play at the level that matches their school grade (for example 10U = 3rd & 4th grade). Athletes are typically not allowed to play "up" or "down" a level as the value in playing with peers during the spring recreational season aligns directly with our mission. Exceptions to this will only be approved by the SMGLL Board.
- 2nd year Chicklettes, upon coach and Board approval may play 8U but will remain in 8U until they are the appropriate age to move up to 10U.
Late Policy (only applicable to Spring Rec Season):
- Spring Registration typically closes on January 31.
- Late registrations will only be accepted during the initial late period in early February on a case-by-case basis and for an additional $20 late fee.
- Once the late period has closed, any additional registration requests will be waitlisted. Should there be space/availability on any teams, requests will be considered. If established teams are full, a waitlisted participant is only considered if there is a cancellation.
- No requests will be considered after Feburary 28.
Scholarship Program (only applicable to Spring Rec Season):
